It’s what you’ve been waiting for: you choose what information is stored for each constituent! You can now select specific fields from different profiles that you want stored for the newly merged constituent. On the merge page select two or three constituents to merge. You will have three view options:
1. Show conflicted values: This will display all the fields that conflict between profiles.
- Profile 1 Address: 1666 K St NW Washington, DC 20006
- Profile 2 Address: 409 7th St NW Washington, DC 20004
2. Show “easy transfer” values: This shows fields that are blank in all but one profile.
- Profile 1 Home Phone: (202) 621-5121
- Profile 2 Home Phone: none
3. Show identical values: All the fields across the profiles are the same.
- Profile 1 Email: Frankie@fireside21.com
- Profile 2 Email: Frankie@fireside21.com
Now comes the fun part! When viewing the “conflicted” values you can pick and choose the fields with the most up to date information to store in the merged profile. Once everything is selected, click “Merge” and you are ready to go!
