Fireside CRM Social Media Integration

At Fireside, we are constantly thinking about ways to improve communications between Member and constituents. It is critical for the Member’s office to be able to track every interaction with a constituent, including direct emails, postal mail, phone calls, and social media. The latter is a little more difficult to track as social media options are vast and expanding.  Thankfully, Fireside21 just made it easier!

Over the last year, the Fireside21 development team has been working hard to integrate social media into Fireside CRM. This integration enhances interactions with constituents greatly: user profiles will now include social media history and links to the constituent’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. This feature leverages Facebook Connect on your contact and survey forms. Once this connection is made, the following will be displayed in their profile history:

  • Any tweets mentioning the Member
  • Likes and comments on the Member’s wall
  • Popularity of the posts, comments, and tweets

Below you can see what the user profile will look like for constituents connected through social media. Their Facebook ID (and Twitter ID) appear under Contact Information in the top right corner. Then the social media interactions appear at the bottom of their user history.

This information enables you to send personalized responses to constituents who reach out to you via social media. Instead of responding for everyone to see, you can send them correspondence from Fireside. In addition, you can use issues/topics they brought up on social media to send them targeted eNewsletters and mass mailings.
